Ross
was widely known in Hollywood for his generosity of time and talents to
a large number of charities. In doing research on asthma for his
role in Experiment in Terror, he became affiliated with CARIH
(Children's Asthma Research Institute and Hospital in Denver) and served
as Chairman of their Theatre Arts Department for many years.
CARIH was a primary recipient of proceeds from his charitable celebrity
tennis tournaments. A plaque with his name graces their
"Golden Wall - the Breath of Hope". CARIH is now a part
of the National Jewish Research Medical Center. Anyone wishing to
donate in Ross's name (or their own) may do so at: http://www.nationaljewish.org/
